AFRICAN TRIBAL SCATTER CUSHIONS
The range of fabrics used in these tribal cushions are sourced from South Africa, Namibia, The Congo, Mali & Zimbabwe. The focus of the manufacturer is to work with hand-made traditional African & African inspired fabrics. The cushions are made with great attention to detail and the highest quality standards. All cushions are individually made using delicate textiles & are not mass produced.
All cushions need to be dry-cleaned as these are delicate hand-made textiles.

The Kuba , woven from the fib of the Rhaphia Palm, originates from the Congo. Fabric production suggests that traditionally, only natural dyes are used. Kuba pieces will vary, as all are individually made as part of an age-old tribal tradition. No two pieces are the same; each one is an unique work of art. This cloth was traditionally used as dance skirts for men & women.

Mudcloth , or Bogolanfini,  is it’s traditional Malian name. The same term is also applied to the process of manufacture. "Bogo" means mud. "Lan" means with, "Fini" means cloth. The Malian men weave the cloth & the women do the sewing that transforms it into an artform. Designs are created with mud and made by hand.
